On Sunday we played our first Devon Petanque League fixture away to Honiton. Despite Bridgwater winning the first of the triples Honiton went on to win the remaining four games so winning the match 4-1. However, for a new team containing a number of inexperienced players the Bridgwater team put in a very creditably performance and will have learnt a lot from the encounter. Next month we travel to Westward Ho! and then we go to Wellington.
